Good news came out recently from Costa Rica. The country is finally opening up the borders to tourists again starting August 1st, 2020. That's about 4 months after the shut-down started back in March.
As of this moment, it is unclear which countries will be able to travel to Costa Rica again. Nor is it clear if tourists will have to self-quarantine. All of this information will be shared in the coming weeks.
Residents and Costa Rica residents returning to Costa Rica still have to self-quarantine for 14 days to avoid the potential spread of the coronavirus upon their return to the country.
At Out of Office Villa we are strictly adhering to health advisory rules to keep our property safe for our guests:
We don't have back to back bookings anymore and we built in a 48h wait time into the calendar between the reservations.
Our villa has always adhered to high cleanliness standards, but we added an additional layer to make sure we sanitize the property per health ministry guidelines (disinfect high-touch areas, wear disposable gloves during cleaning, use alcohol-based cleaning solutions).
We air ventilate the property between guests.
Our property manager on site checks-in and out only one person from the arriving guest party all while wearing masks and maintaining social distancing.
Our guests are supplied with anti-bacterial soap during their stay and a welcome gift basket now includes a hand sanitizer.
We look forward to welcoming you back. The beaches in Costa Rica are still not fully open. But action on the beaches is something to look forward to.
