The Playa Junquillal beach is a surfing beach and one of the longest in Costa Rica stretching for about 2 miles/3 kilometers.

It’s a hotspot for walking, surfing, boogie boarding or ball games.

It also has yearly turtle nesting periods that attracts tourists to see the turtle release to the ocean, which is especially loved by and memorable for children.

Nearby Playa Blanca in low tide becomes a natural pool good for snorkeling.
